It's fun living in a mixed flat. It balances the dynamic of the house. On one hand you get the girls picking up the cleaning slack guys leave behind, and on the other other hand the presence of men minimise the bitching between ladies. So the ying and yang balance is maintained.
However, the bathroom and toilets are a different case. Although what goes on in there remain private for the most part of it (except the occasional freshening up and brushing teeth together) it is still a common area as much as the lounge and kitchen. However, people tend to forget that.
So, when you see your flat mate leaves the bathroom all clean and washed up you would only expect to find unpleasant residuals left behind. I'm not saying they don't flush but other little things like hair clogging up the bath which is a huge problem living with girls. You would think it's only their hair hair but you'd never know what other hair clogs up with it. The solution is simple- clean up and flush/throw it away (which happens to be a hard task for some).
The worse for me is having to share the toilets with guys. I have a huge problem with them peeing standing up. Firstly, it seems so hard for them to put the toilet seat up BEFORE peeing. Secondly, even if they did it seems to be equally hard for them to put it back down AFTER they pee. Why is that a problem? Well, that is because most guys can't aim properly and get their piss all around the toilet ring (or seat!) simply because they stand too far away from the toilet bowl! And as you'd guess they rarely clean it up afterwards. Let me tell you something guys, it is not as long as you think it is regardless what others tell you about it. So take a step closer! Better still just sit down and let it trickle down.
I am not a clean freak but it is utterly disgusting to see the toilet seat/rim covered with urine.
Seriously, do you guys need a potty?
